It's Changed A Lot ...
... from the very early days!It continues to "improve" ...... but when you fettle up one bit ...... other bits begin to look shabby!
But fbb guesses that, if you are the team at Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, you have more people and more money than fbb. So you can have aircraft that actually take off from a huge model airport.
Enjoy the video.Bet they don't have a collection of 72 different tank wagon dating from 1939 to the present day! (72? Probably more. fbb must count them.)It will be finished, soon!
Manchester Money Matters
A few blogs back, fbb reported on a report by a former First bus boss, David Leeder, now a "consultant", suggstng that the Bee Network had cost twice as much as was spent by the local authority before the Pandemic.
For some mysterious reason, Andy Burnham's team do not agree.Interestingly, the B bosses do not quote any actual figures for the Route One article, but simply report that everything is wonderful. So who is right? Independent consultant Leeder at twice as expensive, or not very independent TfGM "spokesman" at one third cheaper?
fbb reckons he knows!
The Lancashire Coast Has Moved! The only train that might be classed as "on the Lancashire Coast" is at Blackpool but the location of the mythic kingdoms escapes fbb. But take heart, dear reader, the author of the above article has included a photo of the "forgotten train".The article goes on to reveal the location of this Lancashire Coast train.
That's it, then? Lancashire has annexed the Isle or Man.
There is no report of when this happened or whether tail-less cats ......will be joining the feline fraternity of Fylde.
A Tease From No 3
No 3 son has been on holiday and, although he may have thought he had told his mum and dad, they actually only know that he had gone "to Switzerland". No photos have yet appeared for fbb to turn into a blog but he sent one tease.
Son emailed, "the No 50 bus from the airport seemed to have three articulated bits."
Thanks to fbb's prodigious feats of memory (he guessed!) the old man reckoned that route 50 ran from the Euro Airport near Basel. A check on-line revealed the vehicle in question ...... confirmed by "the lad"! Nice!
A Railway Carriage At Stratford
A while back, fbb noted that a "community garden" was being constructed in the shdow of Stratford (London) railway station. The site has now gained a caff in a railway carriage. An interesting small addition to the rather huge "facilities" of the immediate area! The carriage looks like a Mark 2b or 2c and is definitely in the remnants of Northern Trains livery ...... but fbb cannot identify the actual vehicle or where it was used.

Another Puzzle
The picture below keeps popping up in "Pinterest". It is clearly of a very primitive roundabout, possibly the first such, but nowhere does it say where it is.
fbb would love to no. 0h, he is so knowsey!
