Another Harrow Happening, A P. S.

In his wisdom, fbb implied that RATP's H18 amd H19 were relatively new toutes for the town.

In fact this was partial twaddle.

The H18  started in January 1991 and was then operated by Metroline ..,

... to be joined by the H19 in 2006 with new incumbent, Arriva. Ian Armstrong has screen shots of  printed material ...

... notably a route map showing just an H18.

Readers will see that the H18 ran out via the present H19 route and back as outward route reversed, i.e. as today's H18.

And what a good idea? Printed leaflets to tell folk where and when their buses rsn.

Now That IS A Christmas Train

For many years, modellers across The Pond have been able to purchase a Canadian Pacific (CP) Criss-muss train. The set has a bright red livery, rows of LEDs on the loco ...

... and similar on the boxcars.

Sadly CP cannot bring themselves to use the Cm word! It might offend someone. 

But the whole set looks good on a layout.

Unlike some British seasonal models, it is based, rather loosely, on a real CP train. This tours the CP network stopping at key locations where it raises funds for the Canadian version of the Foodbank charity.

Here it is, stopped, with crowds attending ...

Now that would be a good idea to promote Great British Railways!

The Puzzle Picture

The model, which came in three different liveries was:-

It starred in favourite book of  Fbb's No 1 son.

The frontispiece looked quite scary ...

... but characters in the book were all drawings of Dinky Toys.

The question is, "What was the full name of the bus?".

But horror of horrors, there is a more recent edition, and ...

... it doesn't feature Dinky Toys!

Very Soon The Big Day Will Dawn

But before we take to the dark night above Bethlehem, a reminder of what the Old Testament prophet Isaiah wrote, about 500 years before "the big day".

But he endured the suffering

that should have been ours,

the pain that we should have borne.

But because of our sins

he was wounded,
