Sunday Variety (not very mini blog)

 Bradford : "Polite Suspicion"

Above was the original bus station built as part of Bradford Interchange. It was subsequently completely rebuilt and became half the original size, but convenient none-the-less. fbb travelled from it in its second phase and it was impressive,  with excellent information.
But something went wrong. It seemed that bits had fallen off the roof and the usual "health and safety" panic ensued with a fear the more bits might fall on people. So it was closed for secret and unreported "investigations".

In a previous blog, fbb suggested that the reason for this unwillingness to do a bit of bean spilling was an intergalactic visit.
Anyway, presumably the unwanted visitors have returned to the planet Zog and a re-opening is planned.
It is still far from clear what all the fuss was about.
And disruptive fuss there certainly was - with previous resident bus routes cast away to various city centre streets.

Puzzle Picture 1 - A Suspicious Gang
Does a completed and painted model help?
Maybe if you know that the occupant was named Mrs Wilberforce?
It was the house built especially at the end of a road in the Kings Cross area for the film "The Ladykillers", undoubtedly one of the best of the much loved Ealing Comedies.

Here is said house looking a litte more grimy in the pre-smokeless gloom of inner London.
Then this is the view from above, with the railway from The Cross very obvious.
The hero of the film, Mrs Wilberfoce, (spoiler alert) inadvertently defeated the scary but ultimately incompetent gang!
Just a brilliant film with some wonderfully nostalgic views of the Kings Cross area before it was "improved"!

Puzzle Picture 2
This answer will appear later - it is a bit too complex for a mini-blog!

"Polite Suspicion" No 2
Gabalfa is a suburb of Cardiff, due to receive a new station in the (not too very) distant future.
So, back to the photo which isn't Gabalfa Station. And what pray is that train doing there? Is it a Cross Country set?

"Polite Suspicion" No 3
Trains must be horrendously disrupted somewhere if Overground stock is working into the South Wstern's London terminus!

Completely Transform? Suspicious! (No 4)
Above is a picture of Liverpool Baltic station. And below is a short video.
It  will sit on the site of St James station which closed in 1917.
fbb seriously doubts whether it will transform the whole city of Liverpool but it might give better access to development in the Baltic Triangle, notably on the site of Cains brewery.

Not Suspicious - Very Real!
A chance to have a closer look inside the new buses being deployed on the Harrogate company's top flight route 36 to Leeds.

They look really good from the outside ...
... spendiferous downstairs ...
... (just LOVE the "parquet" flooring). But the top deck trumps the lot.
2 + 1 seating throughout, and with an ambience wide enough even for fbb's ample posterior.

Tomorrow fbb asks whether there can be Fun in Funebrial activity.
