Stagecoach runs every 10 mins from Rotherham northbound and every 10 from Barnsley eastbound but via different routes and to different destinations.

NmCB : I am sure, having "ridden this road" before, that limited stop operation is pointless. There are very few opportunities to go "pedal to the metal"

On balance I reckon the Stagecoach 22 will not last. An (illegal) deal will be done, legally, of course!!??!

Look out for a blog on mysterious yet co-operative "independent" decisions between Sheffield and Stocksbridge.fatbusblokehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06833340546527596517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-61865168475992273752012-04-30T14:21:37.890+01:002012-04-30T14:21:37.890+01:00This has echoes of the different stopping patterns...This has echoes of the different stopping patterns, ultimate terminus and publicity problems for the First and Stagecoach versions of the Bristol to name-a-point-in-South-Wales X14s discussed earlier...

Question: Do the original Stagecoach routes 229, etc., still run in compeition with First and Magicbus, or are they stopping?

PDDColly405https://www.blogger.com/profile/11883003572431901921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-2765504154175549612012-04-30T14:18:30.437+01:002012-04-30T14:18:30.437+01:00This comment has been removed by the author.Colly405https://www.blogger.com/profile/11883003572431901921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-24569223706681300462012-04-30T13:15:44.393+01:002012-04-30T13:15:44.393+01:00I think you'll find that the Traveline Yorkshi...I think you'll find that the Traveline Yorkshire stop list is for the combined timetable for First and Magicbus 22. It therefore shows all stops served by either service, i.e. all stops.

So. if you click on 'choose all stops', you will indeed see that Magicbus 22 only serves two stops between Rotherham Interchange and ‘Wath Wood, Rockingham Road/Warren Vale’ - which is presumably the same place as the Woodman Inn. Magicbus take 13 minutes over this section - compared with First's 15 minutes, which makes you wonder if the limited stop section is really worthwhile. To be fair, it is 4 minutes quicker towards Rotherham (13 mins rather than 17), and this sounds even better if you say its 23% faster !NMcBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05494964262745285249noreply@blogger.com
