Presumably no replacement booklet has been produced. the 54 and 377 do not, of course, appear in the HTML timetable lists for First Wessex, Dorset & South Somerset - operator in Yeovil. fatbusblokehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06833340546527596517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-69849204010116804222014-09-15T19:42:01.481+01:002014-09-15T19:42:01.481+01:00Its nice to see Yeovil on the blog. This was the edge of town back then as it was pretty much surrounded by fields. Interestingly the Greenwood Road - Wessex Road section was never a loop. Buses came off Larhill into Greenwood Road and then down to Wessex Road where they did a reverse turn into Thornton Road (not on your map above). Of course more often than not if the bus was empty by then they would just go straight down Larkhill or Thornton and save turning. It was not that unusual to have the buses waiting at the end of Greenwood Road / Wessex Road with its very handy newsagents. If I recall correctly the Lodekkas were generally replaced by Bristol REs on these services although this was mostly after we left to return to Plymouthdidbygrahamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01858408719372985035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-69890966685096970872014-09-15T17:50:05.730+01:002014-09-15T17:50:05.730+01:00As a resident of Yeovil I suggest you take a close...As a resident of Yeovil I suggest you take a close look at Firsts timetable booklet.
You will see its dated September 2013 and both the 54 and 377 have changed significantly since then.
First have no interest in Yeovil and I cannot understand why they are still here. .Ron Randall;https://www.blogger.com/profile/14946480150022424693noreply@blogger.com
