They also had the Rainbow Promise (or something like that) where they offered a No Quibble refund direct from the driver if you were unhappy with your journey for whatever reason. This level of empowerment for the driver and ease of compensation for the passenger were revolutionary at the time. Presumably this was all very successful as other routes that didn't link Nottingham with Derby became Rainbow as well, presumably to ride on the crest of the good publicity they had had, although I personally thought it a shame that it diluted the brand from its origins.

As for the Three's, I remember the route via Nuncargate used to be the 45, and had the first departure of the day from Mansfield to Nottingham, way before the 63 started (Pronto's original number).asbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03759047516973901437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-46905036295673736852018-07-12T08:39:36.567+01:002018-07-12T08:39:36.567+01:00It's pretty easy to spot the difference betwee...It's pretty easy to spot the difference between the operators on the ground. Stagecoach have brand new high-spec leather seater deckers allocated (& before the recent upgrade high-spec leather seated singles as pictured) whilst Trent are using old 15-year old Scanias with standard bus spec interiors (even if to Trents nice colourful scheme).

The original R2 in the leaflet you show appears to be a fore-runner of the i4 you mentioned yesterday as that runs Derby to Nottingham via Borrowash, Sandiacre & Stapleford. the two runs from Nottingham to Ilkeston & apart from a short stretch of road as they leave Nottingham City Centre (around 250 metres or so) they have no commonality at all, they even use different bus stations in Nottingham (at least when the Broadmarsh is open).dwarfer1979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-80445333576910038762018-07-12T08:26:13.739+01:002018-07-12T08:26:13.739+01:00As a joint route, Pronto has an awkward acceptance...As a joint route, Pronto has an awkward acceptance/non-acceptance of day and period tickets, although I believe a recent change has been cross-acceptance of smartcards.Shieldsmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00197794322283545552noreply@blogger.com
