I wonder why there couldn't have been a service on the busier Bredbury line running to Rose Hill, rather than just giving up on it. If this really wasn't possible there's a crossover at Bredbury...Stevenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-13147859520021759092019-08-05T23:19:55.072+01:002019-08-05T23:19:55.072+01:00As covered by FBB Edale does currently have the su...As covered by FBB Edale does currently have the summer seasonal H1/H2 (new this year) although I think you'll have better luck getting blood from a stone then getting on with a train ticket! EMT are running an hourly local train from Hope to Sheffield tomorrow as an extension of the Norwich, Sheffield, Liverpool route - I understand part of the problem with Northern doing it is all the drivers/guards/trains are based at the Manchester end.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-71770325347362787552019-08-05T17:20:39.477+01:002019-08-05T17:20:39.477+01:00There is a crossover at Edale which could have bee...There is a crossover at Edale which could have been used to offer some local trains on the Hope Valley, surely? There is no bus alternative to Edale which only has a school day service. As for the unserved stations on the Buxton line except for Dove Holes & Chapel the other stations are in areas that are effectively shut the road passed New Mills Newtown & Furness Vale is completely closed so couldn't be served even if they wanted to and both Chapel & Dove Holes still have a decent bus service if you need to get in/out (both to Buxton & still to Stockport though the buses are having to divert via Glossop!).dwarfer1979noreply@blogger.com
