I DO know that the National Bus Company did not exist in 1965, merely its already nationalised constituent parts.fatbusblokehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06833340546527596517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-25242244119737560962011-05-23T06:57:07.498+01:002011-05-23T06:57:07.498+01:00The standardised British Bus Timetable came before...The standardised British Bus Timetable came before the NBC. A working party from THC, SBC and BET companies, plus some input from larger independents, put together an agreed format. I have copies of some of the reports and examples that went to make this happen. The additional that the NBC made to this later was a move to using the timetable cover to indicate geographical coverage.<br />Most operators introduced the common format timetables in 1965/6, the only notable exception being London Transport who chose to have nothing to do with the entire exercise. Their format was continued after London Country took over the production of the five Country timetables and, for a short while, the Local Area timetables.Daddysgadgetshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12892897553855129226noreply@blogger.com
