I could equally have avo...Actually not quite, Anon. I could equally have avoided the labyrinth by coming up for air from the Northern Line etc ticket hall. Even by bus there is still a horrendous trek to get to the East Midlands Trains Platforms. I agree that the easiest route is probably by footpath to the furthermost entrance(s) to St Pancras. I have used the 59 in the past, but found it slower than the underground (just 20 minutes train door to train door on my return from Leicester!).
