We have carefully selected the journeys to cause the minimum of disruption to our passengers. If these changes cause you any massive problems please contact us and we will see if any adjustments can be made. The services affected are the 521, 529, 555, 556, 587 and 597. In many cases it is only 1 or 2 journeys on each service that will be affected. Full details of the journeys suspended can be found on the individual timetable page on the website of the services listed above. We have discussed the suspensions with our stakeholders and it was felt it best to identify specific lightly used journeys rather than have random cuts each day to different services. As a result we have maintained the daytime journeys without cuts. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we are actively recruiting additional drivers. 17/10/2014 - Quick Guide to suspended journeys from Monday 20th October. 521 1925 from St Austell to Newquay 521 2030 from Newquay to St Austell 521 2225 from St Austell to Newquay 521 2330 from Newquay to High Street 529 2125 from St Austell to Roche 529 2200 from Roche to St Austell 555 1830 from Padstow to Bodmin Parkway 555 1930 from Bodmin Parkway to Padstow 555 2030 from Padstow to Bodmin Parkway 555 2210 from Bodmin Parkway to Padstow 556 1705 from Newquay to Padstow 556 2310 from Padstow to St Merryn 587 1905 from Newquay to Truro 587 2205 from Newquay to Perranporth 597 2045 from Truro to Newquay."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-11065511199012812532014-10-17T18:37:55.619+01:002014-10-17T18:37:55.619+01:00As posted above by Mark H, obviously the council a...As posted above by Mark H, obviously the council are mistaken in their version of events which differ from what Mark has said. <br />The operator couldn't possibly be wrong, after all.<br />So the council must therefore be mistaken!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-368911937953638822014-10-13T18:56:18.770+01:002014-10-13T18:56:18.770+01:00That 1971 map must come from around the period whe...That 1971 map must come from around the period when NBC withdrew from the area to the north and almost resulted in "there be dragons" having to be put in to fill the gap!!Clive Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02059026405966912480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432323264902617108.post-58214589003092846612014-10-13T13:36:06.215+01:002014-10-13T13:36:06.215+01:00To be fair the 'Cornish Guardian' (21/08/1...To be fair the 'Cornish Guardian' (21/08/14) merely reported Cornwall Council's statement verbatim:-<br /><br />'The council said in a statement today: “The authority has held a number of meetings with Western Greyhound to try and improve the situation but took the decision to end the contract when Western Greyhound admitted it was having problems in fulfilling the service. WG gave notice to Cornwall Council as the service, which had been rushed in following DAC's sudden collapse, needed totally recasting to make it more reliable and Cornwall Council agreed to put a revised timetable out to re-tender.Mark Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07324226975506201835noreply@blogger.com
