Both operate a 20 minute service. In theory that should provide a 10 minute interval. It doesn't. 25's are usually quicker, so they catch, and sometimes overtake, 25A's! The 53 is an even slower service mostly shunned by Bradway residents due to it's detour through the Low Edges council estate.

Returning to Dore & Totley Station, I would draw attention to the following report from yesterday's Yorkshire Post, and my comments; http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/localnews/Consultation-to-start-on-parkride.6581086.jp.

I did not mention there the pensioners freebee bus service, the M17 from Dore to Jordanthorpe. Personal observation suggests this 9-5 service carries very few passengers, and a paying passenger must be rare.

Of course a bus on a route from Dore to Jordanthorpe could be very useful if it connected with commuter trains to Sheffield (but seem my comments about them) and Manchester - but there seem to be no plans to do this.

Chris Morgan, BradwayAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
