However, I am obliged ...Great web page, well done! However, I am obliged to be a nitpicker and point out that in my lifetime our corporation buses were painted vermillion, a type of orangey red. Crimson is a much darker shade of red and maybe the corporation buses were crimson in those days. One wonders how mu...Thanks FBB, an excellent read!<br /><br />One wonders how much longer First will actually last in North Home Town, as you put very well their ex NCT empire has dwindled to next to nothing. That's a long way from NCT days when there was literally no part of the town that was more than 1/4 mile from a red bus route!<br /><br />As for the demise of "Buttocks Booth" - damn the PC brigade, now it's one less "giggle" for schoolboys, and the elimination of yet another part of the local heritage - you could probably forgive the Victorians for tearing down the castle as they didn't know any better, but nowadays people should know that heritage is important, no matter how small.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
